A Safety document specifying the equipment to be worked on, the work to be carried out and the actions taken to achieve safety from the system.
A Permit-To-Work confirms that the planned switchings and safety measures have been taken for the specified work. The purpose is to assure that switchings and safety measures will stay in place until the PCWA has Cleared the Permit-To-Work.
The Permit-To-Work is issued by the PCEI or Delegated PCEI to the PCWA.
It is the responsibility of the PCWA to assure that the persons in his/her working party understands the Permit-To-Work, its scope and limits of the work, before giving permission to start work under his/her direction.
