A Safety document specifying the equipment to be tested, making known the conditions under which the testing is to be carried out and confirming actions which have been taken to achieve safety from the system during the test procedures.
A Sanction for Test is issued by a PCEI or Delegated PCEI. The PCEI or Delegated PCEI shall at all-time be present at the work location to ensure safety from the system during the test procedure.
The actual test procedure is performed by a PCWA together with the working party.
A Sanction for Test can be used when limiting the testing or the testing area is insufficient to achieve safety from the system, and it is necessary to vary primary precautions for the completion of the testing.
When a Sanction for Test is in force, no other Safety document shall be in force on the same items of equipment.
